memulakan blog aku dengan cerita ketidakpuasan hati....
as doctors, we must be very open minded and willing to help people. aku oncall hari ini, a patient 2 years old admitted to paediatric ward for observation. We noticed that he has hydrocephalus (hydro=air, cephalus= kepala, yang kepala bayi besar tu).we planned for ventricular-peritoneal shunt for this patient. on top of that, he also had 1 episode of fit, and that was one of the reason why he is closely monitored in paediatric ward.
i went to that ward as early as i could, before my speacialist do round. i had to see the patient's condition before i plan for any surgical intervention, wether the patient is fit enough for operation or not. After discussed with him, we decided for operation for better outcome for this patient's future.
i went back to paediatric ward, to write something related to our decision. One of my collegue, who was my houseman friend before was trying to secure line for this patient as pre-operation preparation. it's difficult to secure i think. when he saw me, he simply said this:
"ko tolong setkan line untk patient ni leh tak? dah la tak buat kerja, menumpang pulak tu" <-- dengan intonasi marah dan tak puas hati.
i was shocked with his word, tapi sabar je...geram2...1 question i asked him " ko tak beraya ke?" (selalunya kan time raya kita saling bermaafan)

after i had finished my writings, i tried to secure the line...and, alhamdulillah i did it!
then i went away...
in my humble oppinion, bila bekerja, jangan harapkan pesakit tak datang langsung, bila kerja susah sikit jangan lah cepat takde mood dan nak marah, bila kerja kita orang lain dapat buat dengan jayanya, tak rasa malu ke? kata-kata dia atas (berwarna biru) sungguh tak professional...JANGAN DIAMALKAN..
